Dear colleagues,
Are you interested in joining the interdisciplinary conversation about Calling and Careers and excited to discuss the questions stated below?!
Then consider joining the mini-conference associated with the JVB Special Issue on "Calling and Careers: New Insights and Future Directions".
The mini-conference will take place on October 13-14 in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Please find more information about it in the attached flyer or by visiting www.abri.vu.nl/jvb.
v What do we know and what do we still need to learn about individual predictors of calling and its career-related consequences?
v Which factors and conditions determine positive and negative outcomes of calling?
v How does calling evolve over time? And, through what mechanisms does calling influence career development over time?
v How do others in our work context and outside the work context influence individuals' experience and definition of calling?
v How do different societies (professional, cultural, or regional/national) define and experience calling, and what implications does this have for individual careers?
v How does social context, including working in teams, working in specific industries, and/or working in flexible or traditional work spaces, influence individual experiences of calling, and consequently their careers?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Evgenia Lysova (e.lysova@vu.nl).
Looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam!
Best regards,
Evgenia Lysova
