The PDW Chair will lead the Professional Development Workshop program for the 2027 Annual Meeting. This position begins a four-year leadership rotation: Division Program Chair (2028), Division Chair-Elect (2029), Division Chair (2030), and Past Division Chair (2031). Throughout this period, the individual serves on the Executive Committee and contributes to the Division's strategic direction, programming priorities, and governance decisions. This is a significant, multi-year commitment. It is well suited for a colleague prepared to invest sustained energy in strengthening our scholarly community and advancing management history within the Academy. We welcome nominations of members with demonstrated engagement, organizational capacity, and a clear commitment to the Division's intellectual mission. Self-nominations are encouraged.

The Historian safeguards our institutional memory and procedural integrity. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of meetings and policies, communicating the Division's history and achievements (in collaboration with the Newsletter Editor), providing an annual written report to the Division Chair, and serving as parliamentarian with respect to Division and Academy by-laws and Robert's Rules of Order. This role is essential to continuity and governance. It requires precision, reliability, and a strong sense of stewardship.

You may nominate up to three Management History members for each role. You are not required to nominate for all positions. Please ensure that nominees are current members of the Management History Division. The nomination form includes an optional "Supporting information/comments" section. Brief statements outlining qualifications, prior service, leadership experience, or distinctive contributions are extremely helpful to the committee's deliberations.
