The Department of Management and Marketing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for faculty positions in management (Strategic Management and/or Human Resource Management) at the rank of Assistant Professor (Ref. 19070210). Management faculty members in the department regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes and other premier outlets. General Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) engage in top-level scholarly research in their areas of expertise;
(b) supervise research students;
(c) compete for Hong Kong Research Grants Council funding;
(d) teach at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have an earned doctoral degree at the time of appointment or be close to receiving it. Preference will be given to those with a focused research orientation and the potential or demonstrated the ability to publish in high-quality scholarly journals.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
The compensation package, teaching loads, and research support are highly competitive. The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
