    Dear colleagues,


    This is to invite you to submit high-quality research papers for the Special Issue of Career Development International on "The Impact of Job Insecurity on Job Performance".

    Our main aim in this Special Issue is to draw together a collection of high quality papers investigating the impact of felt job insecurity on job performance. Submitted papers might adopt within-person and between-person level of analysis, but preferably have a longitudinal or time-lagged design. Suggested themes include:

    • Theoretical mechanisms in the form of mediators that account for the relationship between felt job insecurity and job performance.
    • Moderators that may explain the inconsistent findings on the relationship between felt job insecurity and performance.
    • The impact of felt job insecurity on different indicators of performance.
    • The impact of felt job insecurity on job performance as rated by different sources or at different levels.
    • The use of performance as a strategic tool to reduce job insecurity.
    • The impact of felt job insecurity on job performance both on the short-term (daily) and on the long term.
