    Dear listserv members,

I hope 2021 is beginning well for you! The Journal of Business and Psychology will be hosting a special issue on cybersecurity and cyber privacy. I will be serving as one of the Guest Editors for this special issue. We will soon send out a detailed Call for Proposals, but please consider this email an invitation to already start thinking about potential submissions to the special issue!

As a first step, we are in the process of assembling a Special Issue Editorial Board consisting of researchers and research-focused practitioners with interests at the intersection of organizational science (broadly defined), on the one hand, and cybersecurity and/or cyber privacy (also broadly defined), on the other hand.

If you would like to serve as a member of the Special Issue Editorial Board, please email me (rebecca.bennett@ucf.edu) soon with the email subject line "Special Issue Editorial Board"--and please include the following information:

    (A) Your CV

    (B) A link to your official webpage (e.g., at your university or company) and/or your LinkedIn profile

    (C) One paragraph (or a bulleted list) summarizing your areas of research expertise within organizational science--broadly defined to include academic disciplines such as industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, human resources, management, business analytics, strategic management, business ethics, organization and management theory, operations and supply chain management, technology and innovation management, conflict management, and so forth. Please also clarify whether your research expertise in this domain is primarily quantitative or qualitative (or both)

    (D) Confirmation (i.e., Yes/No) regarding whether you are a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Academy of Management (if so, please also include information about the specific divisions and interest groups of which you are a member), the Society for Human Resource Management, the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, and/or other similar organizations

    (E) One paragraph (or a bulleted list) summarizing your areas of research expertise within cybersecurity and/or cyber privacy--or, failing that, security, safety, and/or privacy more broadly. Please also clarify whether your research expertise in this domain is primarily quantitative or qualitative (or both). If you happen to possess any technical expertise within cybersecurity and/or cyber privacy (e.g., if you have worked at a Security Operations Center, if you are familiar with cyber/IT law, if you have worked as a Certified Information Privacy Professional), please mention that too

    (F) One paragraph (or a bulleted list) summarizing your experience reviewing for peer-reviewed journals in the following areas: organizational science, cybersecurity (or security or safety more broadly), and/or cyber privacy (or privacy more broadly). Please include names of specific journals, roles you have held (e.g., editorial board member, ad hoc reviewer), and specific dates of service in these roles

    (G) An indication of the number of hours per week, during late 2021 and all of 2022, you would be able to devote to reviewing papers for this special issue

    (H) Any additional information you think is relevant

If you are uncertain regarding whether you would be a good fit, we encourage you to apply anyway! We welcome applications from outside the U.S. as well as, more generally, from members of groups underrepresented in organizational science and/or cybersecurity and cyber privacy.

Note also that being on the Special Issue Editorial Board does not mean that you would lose the ability to submit one or more papers to the special issue. All submissions by Special Issue Editorial Board members will simply be assigned to other Special Issue Editorial Board members to review.

Please feel free to forward this email to people in your professional networks if you think they would be interested in serving on the Special Issue Editorial Board and/or if you simply want to alert them to the upcoming special issue so that they can start thinking about submissions!

    Regards,

     Becky
