    Postdoctoral Position in Strategy and Technology

    The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary and international research group comprising management and economics scholars. The position holder is expected to engage in developing ambitious research projects, publish in top academic journals, as well as contribute to the teaching excellence of the institute. The successful candidate should also take an active role in collaborating with the faculty and PhD students and participate in the development of the group.

    Prerequisites for this position are a doctoral degree (completed or about to be completed from a reputable university) in a relevant field, outstanding research, and capacity for teamwork. Empirical research interests in the areas of Strategy and Technology are preferred, and an ability to work with quantitative firm- or individual-level data is essential.

    The position is a fixed-term appointment for the duration of two years, with a possibility of extension of one year pending successful evaluation. Candidates are encouraged to apply for a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (https://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/actions/individual-fellowships_en) if eligible. A conversion to an indefinite position (tenure track) is not possible. The starting date for the appointment can be set upon mutual agreement.

    ISTO offers a dynamic and international environment, with research and travel budget available for the members of the institute. The Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization (ISTO) also participates in the Organizational Research Group (ORG), organizing regular seminar series and hosting leading international scholars.

    LMU Munich provides newly appointed faculty with various types of support, including welcome services and assistance for dual-career for couples.
