    The Department of Management Information Systems in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the lecturer level, beginning August 2021 to teach classes in data analytics and green IS/energy informatics.

    Candidates should have earned their Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited university or international equivalent by August 1, 2021. Candidates should also have demonstrated an ability to teach data analytics at the undergraduate or graduate level, and should have successfully taught at least two classes in the past four years in this area. Moreover, candidates should have an interest in becoming proficient in teaching our very popular elective in Energy Informatics.  The normal teaching load is eight, 3-credit classes per academic year.

     

    The position is subject to annual renewal based on performance, and promotion to Senior Lecturer is possible after six years of service.     The Management Information Systems Department offers the following degrees: on-campus Ph.D., online Master of Business & Technology, and on-campus BBA in MIS. In addition, the Terry College of Business offers an on-campus MBA degree, an on-campus Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), and off-campus Executive/Professional MBA degrees.

     

    The Management Information Systems Department is consistently ranked highly nationally and internationally for both its programs and its scholarly productivity. Faculty hold editorial positions at the premier information systems journals, and current and emeritus faculty include multiple AIS Fellows and two AIS Leo Award winners.
