Dear friends and colleagues,
It is my pleasure to announce this winter's JAIS Theory Development Workshop, to be held in person at HICSS 54 (January 5-8, 2021) on Kauai, Hawaii. The workshop is still being developed but will likely be held for a half-day on Tuesday, January 5.
I wanted to let everyone know in case they are considering submitting a paper to a HICSS mini-track (due July 15) and needed a little incentive to get their paper in. Papers for the Theory Development Workshop are not due now - they will have a later submission date (usually sometime in the fall). Announcements will be forthcoming.
We are changing the workshop format this year a bit and will focus much more on theory development. Therefore, papers would need to be at a stage where theorizing can occur before submission. We also require at least one author to be in attendance in person at the workshop. This may change depending on travel and health circumstances.
