    **** Apologies for cross-posting ****

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for a vacant three-year post-doc within the field of comparative European welfare state and labour market policy. The three-year post-doc (research and teaching) is part of the H2020 funded EUSOCIALCIT project, which runs from February 2020 through to February 2023. It is led by the University of Amsterdam and includes seven other partners, including CBS. Read more about the project here.

CBS is responsible for the work package (WP) entitled 'Fair working conditions through labour market policy'. As a post-doc, you will carry out research on the tasks for this WP, firstly on work-life balance policy and secondly, on policies for the most flexible non-standard workers. It also focuses on how the initiatives launched under the European Pillar of Social Rights affect these policies in EU member states. The focus will be on six countries representing different institutional configurations of welfare-labour market regimes (Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, and Poland). You will be involved in carrying out in-depth qualitative analysis on these two tasks, for a selection of the case countries. This work will be carried out in collaboration with the partners in this WP, especially the CBS team. The research involves mixed methods, with an emphasis on qualitative data and analysis, using the structured focused case-study method.

The post-doc is a non-tenured position for a three-year period, which entails two years of research and one year of teaching. The post-doc will be affiliated with the Department of International Economics, Government and Business, which brings together the study of states, markets, and international firms in the context of societal challenges faced by emerging and advanced economies.

    Application deadline 16 March 2020.
