    Dear TIMers,

    Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a Post Doc Position at the Department of Strategy and Innovation. Expected starting date is 1 September 2020.

    The post doc position is time-limited for 2 years and connected to the research project "Parenthood and Gender Inequality in Science" led by Associate Professor Valentina Tartari and funded by the Carlsberg Foundation. The research group will also include a PhD student and a research assistant.

    The postdoctoral fellow will join the project with a specific focus on analyzing the potential penalties in terms of scientific productivity and subsequent career progression for women compared to men after the birth of their first child. The work will focus on STEM disciplines, and it will be performed using registry data matched with rich bibliometric information. The post doc will work on the questions specified in the research project and will have the opportunity to help shaping new projects.  

    The ideal candidate for this position will be a recent PhD graduate with a deep interest in economics and management of science and/or gender issues. Strong technical skills in empirical analysis, in addition to a thorough training in the relevant research literature are desirable. Previous experience with working with registry-based data and/or bibliometric data, and basic programming skills are also highly desirable.
