    The Carson College of Business at Washington State University located in Vancouver, WA is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship starting in August 2020. Appointment is anticipated at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered at the rank of Full Professor.

    Duties: The position requires a productive research program that results in publications in high-quality journals. The candidate is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate level on topics such as new venture planning, entrepreneurial management, entrepreneurial marketing, entrepreneurial finance, change management, small business strategy and planning, strategic management, or other courses based on the applicant's interests and needs of the College and University. Teaching in online programs may also be expected as part of the normal teaching load. The normal teaching load is 6 hours (2 courses/semester). The successful candidate will be expected to make significant service contributions to the unit, department, college, university, community, and profession commensurate with rank.

    Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship (MISE)

    The MISE Department provides an exceptional work environment with highly supportive colleagues actively engaged in research, teaching, and service. Entrepreneurship is a core strength of the department and is a top priority at the Carson College of Business and Washington State University where publishing in top entrepreneurship journals is rewarded. Recently, the department placed in the top-20 in the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings based on publications in JBV, ETP, and SEJ over the past 5-year period.  Across all campuses, the MISE Department includes 11 tenure-track faculty holding appointments in management and/or entrepreneurship with substantial plans to grow the department and its core strength in entrepreneurship.

    The Carson College of Business Vancouver includes 12 tenure-track, five non-tenure-track research-active faculty and three executive-in-residence faculty members.

    Requirements:

    An earned Doctorate in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality academic journals in Entrepreneurship or Management. Research in entrepreneurship with a focus on advancing equity and diversity and/or underserved communities aligns with the campus mission. Demonstrated ability to teach primarily Entrepreneurship courses with added experience teaching management courses preferred. Preferred requirement of three or more years of experience as tenure track faculty.

    Additional Salary Information: Nine-month academic-year basis, beginning August 16, 2020. Salary and benefits are competitive; retirement system is TIAA/CREF.
