    The ITEM group in de department of IE & IS, Eindhoven University of Technology, has a vacancy for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of New Business Development and/or New Product Development. This vacancy is part of the Irène Curie Fellowship, and is currently only open for female candidates.     Job Description

    The Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship & Marketing (ITEM) group currently entails around 25 faculty members, engaged in research and education in the area of new business and product development. In addition, a group of around 30 PhD students is affiliated to this group. ITEM's research program focuses on understanding and improving new business development (NBD) and new product development (NPD) processes in new ventures as well as established high-tech companies. With the onset of open innovation and the rise of increasingly complex innovation ecosystems, new business and product development is no longer the exclusive playground of single firms. Instead, collaboration with external parties is required to accelerate new business and product development to keep pace with competitors. Moreover, technological breakthroughs in areas such as healthcare, ICT, and mobility imply that entrepreneurs have to redesign their business models to successfully market new products and services. The ITEM group currently has an opening for a tenure-track assistant professor that wants to contribute to its research program as well as teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The TU/e is situated in one of the leading high-tech regions of the world, which provides ample opportunities for excellent researchers in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship seeking to make a societal as well as academic impact.

     

    Job Requirements

    -       - PhD in innovation management, technology entrepreneurship, new product development or a related domain.

    ·       - Ability to conduct high-quality research, demonstrated in a successfully completed PhD thesis and/or an initial set of publications arising from this thesis.

    ·       - Passion for teaching, demonstrated in initial experiences or assistance in teaching.

    ·       - Creative personality, dedicated to multidisciplinary collaboration.

    ·       - Good communication and leadership skills.          

    ·       - Proficiency in English language, both in writing and speaking.
