January 15 is the deadline to submit nominations for the STR Distinguished Scholar Award, which is given every other year, in even-numbered years. This award is meant to recognize the most outstanding and distinguished career contributions to strategic management scholarship. Since this is a new award we are especially eager to receive input from division members, so please nominate.
The recipient of the award will be a scholar
- whose body of research has contributed substantial knowledge to the field of strategic management;
- whose intellectual contributions have been central to the development of the field; and
- who has significantly contributed to thought leadership in the field.
How to nominate someone for the STR Distinguished Scholar Award: Send an email to Tim Folta, STR Division Chair Elect (timothy.folta@uconn.edu) with heading "STR Distinguished Scholar Award nomination". Include a note explaining your reasons for nomination and either attach the nominee's CV or include a URL link(s). Self-nominations are accepted and all are encouraged to nominate. Nominations will be evaluated by a committed consisting of senior scholars and members of the STR Division Executive Committee.
Nominations will be accepted through January 15, 2020.
