    The David D. Reh School of Business at Clarkson University seeks qualified applicants for a full-time teaching-track position of Healthcare Management at the Assistant Professor level, with the appointment beginning on or around August 1, 2022.  The position is within the Healthcare Management Program, which is both CAHME and AACSB accredited, and is located at the Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, NY. The Healthcare Management Program at Clarkson University is ranked 65 by U.S. News and World Reports and offers MBA and MS degrees in Healthcare Management and Healthcare Data Analytics. 

     

    The ideal candidate will preferably have 7 to 10 years of professional management experience in the healthcare industry and the ability to teach a variety of masters-level graduate courses in the areas of healthcare management, health systems, operations, policy, strategy, and leadership. The course load is 6 to 8 classes annually.  Applicants should have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in healthcare management and leadership, and clear potential for excellence in teaching. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the person appointed will be expected to assist with the administration of the Healthcare Management programs, including working with and representing the program to leaders of healthcare organizations and professional societies. 

     

    Successful candidates will hold an advanced degree in healthcare management or related discipline. Individuals with doctoral degrees are preferred; professional experience is a must and candidates without a doctoral degree but with outstanding experience will be strongly considered.  Candidates must have the ability and willingness to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery formats. University-level teaching experience in healthcare is desired.  We also seek a candidate with the ability to meaningfully contribute to the diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging efforts of the school and broader university.
