    The Healthcare Management Program at the David D. Reh School of Business, CAHME and AACSB accredited, seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management appointment beginning on or around August 1, 2022, at the Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, NY. The Healthcare Management Program offers MBA and MS degrees in Healthcare Management and Healthcare Data Analytics.

    The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in research and teaching or clear potential for excellence in both. Applicants should have the ability to teach masters-level graduate courses in a variety of healthcare management areas, with a special focus on at least two of the following areas: Statistics, Epidemiology, and Health Informatics. The person appointed will be expected to pursue a scholarly agenda with publications, conference presentations, and participation in professional healthcare societies. In addition, the successful candidate would contribute to the engagement-related aspects of the Reh School’s mission, including service on school and university standing committees.

    The standard teaching load for candidates that maintain a prime research agenda and are actively engaged in the Reh School and professionally is four (4) courses per academic year. Successful candidates will hold an earned doctorate in healthcare management or related discipline. ABD candidates near completion will be considered. Quality teaching and scholarship is necessary for tenure and promotion. Candidates must have the ability and willingness to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery formats. Professional experience in healthcare is also desired.
