    Dear colleagues,
Following the most recent announcement for the 9 counties 6 counties {number is corrected by moderator per message from Sara} in and around the Bay Area in which I live to shelter in place, I thought I'd reach out to see if anyone would like to join me in a conversation about what we can learn from the current pandemic.
I feel like we are watching history unfold, and while I'm urgently focused on converting three courses to online for spring, I'm also keen not to let this historic crisis pass  by without doing something positive about it.  My guess is this won't be the last pandemic, so what should our community be trying to learn from this one in order to inform us for the future?  At so many levels, I see issues about leadership, management, collaboration, network effects, innovation and improvisation…  The issues are so big; can we collectively identify some priorities and maybe suggest some real time data capture activities that could prove useful in future?
If you're a HCM Division scholar or colleague interested in talking about the implications of COVID-19 on the HCM research agenda, please join me on Friday, March 20, 9am Pacific, noon Eastern.  Please also shoot me an email to let me know you can participate.
