    Dear OB Division Members,

Are you an early-career scholar or PhD student navigating the landscape of team research?

We invite you to join our 90-minute Professional Development Workshop (PDW) at the 2026 Academy of Management Meeting in Philadelphia. Team research standards are escalating, with increasing pressure for larger samples, complex multilevel modeling, and the use of emerging tools like AI and digital trace data.

This workshop is designed to help you:

    • Position your contributions in a mature field without falling into "incremental" gap-spotting.
    • Navigate methodological hurdles by designing rigorous studies that remain feasible under resource constraints.
    • Explore new tools such as confederate bots, VR simulations, and open-science practices.

The session will occur in 2 parts: a panel discussion with our expert panelist then small-group roundtable breakouts where you will receive tailored feedback from expert panelists.

    Our confirmed experts include:

    • Daan van Knippenberg (Rice University)
    • Astrid Homan (University of Amsterdam)
    • Andrew Knight (Washington University in St. Louis)
    • Kyle Emich (University of Delaware)
    • Wu Liu (Hong Kong Polytechnic University)

To participate in the small group roundtable panel discussion, preregistration with an abstract is required of your work-in-progress or a description of a specific research challenge you are currently facing for us to review. There will be a limit of 45 persons ONLY for the small group roundtable. This allows us to pair you with a roundtable group focused on your specific interests, such as conceptual framing, design constraints, or behavioral data. You are free to attend the panel discussion without preregistration.

    Submission Deadline: 15th June 2026

We look forward to helping you take confident steps toward contributing to the future of team science!
