    Attention PhD Students:

We are cordially inviting you to the Duke Strategy PhD Conference 2025. This student-run conference will be held in person on May 5, 2025, at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in Durham, NC. Full information about the conference is available at www.dukestrategyphdconference.com.

The conference will include a social dinner, keynote lecture, and paper presentations to an audience of students. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for Strategy PhD students to share their work with other PhD students, obtain feedback, network with peers, and improve their presentation skills.

We welcome proposals related to innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship. By bringing together advanced doctoral students embracing various perspectives, approaches, and methodologies, we hope to create an environment that fosters intellectual exchange and collaboration.

We invite applications from PhD students in Strategy and related fields who have already passed their preliminary examination. We particularly encourage applications from students who are in the early stages of preparing their job market papers (or other solo-authored papers). Applications should include a proposal summarizing the research project. Ideally, the proposal will discuss the motivation/context, research question, theory data/empirical strategy, preliminary results, and future work to be completed (if applicable).

Please apply here by Monday, March 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Applications will be evaluated by Duke Strategy PhD candidates. Decisions will be communicated by April 1.

The conference is organized by Strategy PhD Candidates from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Thanks to generous support from the Duke Strategy Area, there are no submission or registration fees. We will cover the cost of one night of accommodation at the JB Duke Hotel on campus (or an alternate hotel near campus) for each presenter. However, presenters will have to cover their other travel expenses.

We hope you will join our community of rising strategy scholars. Included below are answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have additional questions, please contact the members of the Student Organizing Committee at strategy-phd-conference@duke.edu.

We hope to see you in person in May 2025!
