Faculty of Practice Position in Organizational Behavior and Leadership
Position Description
NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for an open-rank position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Practice) in Organizational Behavior and Leadership, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026.
The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the graduate program in Organization Management and Strategy, as well as the graduate program in Management of Technology. The candidate may also teach related courses at undergraduate level. The position emphasizes excellence in teaching and curriculum development in organizational behavior, leadership, and related fields.
This is a Full-Time Continuing Contract Faculty (FTCC) position. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree by the time of appointment in September 2026. Typical appointments are on 2-year terms, with expected teaching loads of 4 courses per academic year. Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions.
Qualifications
We seek candidates who have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, Leadership, or a closely related discipline, with expertise in organizational theory, strategic management, or leadership studies. Candidates should demonstrate a strong record in English-language teaching and real-life practice, and a
commitment to innovative pedagogy.
