    Dear DEI members,

It's a tough time for DEI scholars around the world with anti-DEI sentiment on the rise, hate crimes, and extreme social polarization. Amidst factual inaccuracies, propaganda, and non-experts being given a voice on these matters, we as DEI scholars need to join together to spread evidence-based information.

Help us counter misinformation (for example, a speaker on television saying that DEI is simply quotas) with research-based evidence to the contrary. We have created some images from the Division we hope you will share on all of your social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.). We have attached the first ones here, so please begin sharing them widely! You can also view them on our DEI LinkedIn page and share them from Dr. Mihwa Seong's personal LinkedIn page (no need to be connected to her on LinkedIn).

And we need you to suggest more!  Please use this form to suggest more simple, factual images (be sure to add the citation from your research or others'). We will format these and share with members each week for the foreseeable future. As new images are created, we will alert you and make them available on LinkedIn and through AOMConnect.

Share and submit! Together we can help people get the facts.

    Dear Jenny and DEI Colleagues:

THANK YOU for taking the lead on developing actions to counter the misinformation and disinformation regarding DEI.  We need to counter statements of opinion with statements of fact.

My favorite was the statement that DEI contributed to the accident between the Blackhawk helicopter and the commercial airliner.  The next statement was that there was no evidence that DEI contributed to the accident, but nonetheless DEI was at fault.  What was that again?  The logic is unassailable because there is no logic.

We need to stand together against the threats to DEI.  Thank you for getting us started.  --  Gayle
