    Call for Applications: Research Proposal Development Workshop

    The Journal of Applied Psychology (JAP) is excited to announce its first workshop in Asia, hosted in collaboration with a major group of 12 JAP editorial leaders. This interactive, in-person event is designed to offer researchers-ranging from early-career scholars to those at any stage of their careers-constructive feedback on their research proposals and guidance in refining their manuscripts for submission to top-tier academic journals.

    • Dates: Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, 2025

    Who Should Apply?

    We welcome applications from researchers at any stage of their career who are eager to receive detailed feedback on their research proposals and enhance their manuscript development and publication skills. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to refine research ideas and gain valuable insights into publishing in leading academic journals like Journal of Applied Psychology.

    Workshop Highlights:

    • Personalized feedback from editors and leading scholars in applied psychology
    • Interactive sessions on proposal refinement and manuscript preparation
    • Panel discussions with insights into the peer-review process and effective journal submission strategies
    • Networking opportunities with editors and peers
    • Participants are expected to review proposals from other group members, fostering a collaborative peer-learning environment.

    Application Process:
    Interested applicants are invited to submit:

    1. A current CV (2 pages max)
    2. A research proposal or extended abstract (1,000–1,500 words) outlining the research question and hypotheses (if applicable) and a visualization of the proposed research model (if applicable), overview of the proposed method(s), and analysis plan.

    Deadline for Applications: March 1, 2025
    Notification of Acceptance: April 1, 2025
