    Hi everyone,

    The Management & Human Resources Department in the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business is looking for an assistant or associate professor of management to start in August 2025. The primary teaching responsibilities would be in management for the undergraduate and graduate programs. The UW Oshkosh College of Business is AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to undergraduate business students, we have an MBA program and are part of the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium program. The College of Business values and respects diversity in our classrooms, workplace, associations, and relationships. Bounded by lakes, rivers and forests, Oshkosh is within driving distance from Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

    Tenure-track faculty facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for management courses to support the delivery of quality instruction. They provide for-credit instruction in formats such as face-to-face, online, hybrid and/or laboratory settings, including grading at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Faculty members are expected to publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals and to participate in service activities for the department and college (e.g., club advisor, curriculum development). At higher ranks, university-level service is expected in addition.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
    • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
    • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
    • Engages in scholarship to ensure their qualifications are consistent with Department, College and University standards.
    • Provides service to the department and college.
    • Assesses learner performance and identifies appropriate areas for instructional improvements.
    • Develops teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategy.
    • Assists in defining the objectives of the program and play a major role in carrying out program duties.

    Required Qualifications

    • An earned doctorate in management or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or from an institution with commensurate credentials (to be determined by comparable research quality standards for doctoral program faculty; ABDs with a reasonable likelihood of degree completion prior to start date may also apply; degree ultimately must be conferred by 12/31/2025 and if not conferred by start date will begin as an instructor at a reduced rate of pay).
    • A record of excellence in teaching or potential for excellence in teaching management courses.
    • A record of publications in refereed journals or progress toward meeting research requirements of the College of Business.
    • Demonstrated effective communication with diverse audiences in management.
    • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively on projects, teams, or initiatives.
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Broad management background including education and/or experience in a combination of some of these areas: organizational behavior, leadership, family business management, global management, and strategy.
    • Organizational experience in the field and/or a proven record of building bridges between academia and practice.
    • Interest and qualifications to teach courses in a variety of management areas.
