We are delighted to announce a forthcoming Journal of Organizational Behavior Special Issue on "Advancing Our Understanding of Grief in Organizations"!

Guest Editors: Yu Tse Heng (University of Virginia), Nitya Chawla (University of Minnesota), Remy Jennings (Florida State University), Ellie Stillwell (London School of Economics), Michelle Duffy (University of Minnesota), Sally Maitlis (University of Oxford), Reut Livne-Tarandach (Manhattan University)

This special issue aims to curate a robust body of research that deepens our understanding of the grief experience within organizational settings. We welcome a rich and diverse theoretical examination of grief. As such, we encourage submissions that focus on grief following a range of losses (e.g., death, non-death) and across levels of analysis (e.g., individual, collective). We hope that this special issue will catalyze the building of an evidence base that practitioners and organizations can leverage when designing grief-related policies and initiatives.

The submission window is Nov 1 – Nov 30, 2025.
