Greetings Colleagues: Can anyone recommend an interesting OD text or a book for a course that is focused on diversity/culture/change.
    Thanks in advance.

Bonnie, I have found Marilyn Loden's text, Implementing diversity, to be especially good.  When teaching change in the organization, I often use her Diversity Adoption Curve, based on extensive behavioral science research, as a model.

If not selected as the lead text, it is, from my experience, a good supplemental text.

    Good luck!

I use Donald Anderson's Organization Development The Process of Leading Organizational Change - and like it a lot.  There's also a case and exercise book which goes along with it.

Best of luck with your course!

    Hello, Abere and All -

Here are a few other texts for your consideration, Abere.

    W. J. Rothwell, J. M. Stavros & R. Sullivan (Eds.), Practicing organization development:  Leading transformation and change . Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley & Sons.
    - Has an instructor site that provides ideas for courses based on the various chapters as well as additional online resources.

Jones, R. K., & Brazzel, M. (Eds.). (2014). The NTL handbook of organization development and change (2nd ed.). San Francisco, CA: Wiley.
    - chapters written primarily by individuals who are members of the National Training Laboratory (NTL).

Cummings, T. G. (Ed.). (2008). Handbook of organization development. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage.
    - This one is a little older but has chapters by authors not found elsewhere.

    Gallos, J. V. (Ed.). (2006). Organization development: A Jossey-Bass Reader. San Francisco, CA: Jossey-Bass.
    - Same as Cummings text - a bit older but some material by authors not found elsewhere.

    Hope these are helpful.

    Best wishes,

    Julie

We use Anderson's text in our 400 level Leading Sustainable Change course and also assign Kotter's Leading Change. We introduce Kotter's change process through Our Iceberg is Melting, work through Anderson's text with a lot of supplemental information from Cumming's and Worley's text, and then read Leading Change. Our students work in teams on a semester-long change project with an external client. We find the Kotter discussions really provide insight into the challenges the organizations are facing during the initial phases of implementation.

I wish you the best with your course.
