Ends:  Mar 20, 2020 03:00 (RTZ2)

The topics of digitalization and digital transformation are widely discussed in media, government documents, in the universities and business community. Consumers change their behaviors, requiring quick and detailed responses, and companies are forced to create digital marketing channels, to build analytical systems, to automate business processes, to develop new competencies, and to form digital ecosystems.

Now it is clear that digital transformation is not limited to implementing of digital, but concerns changing principles of doing business, finding new markets, attracting younger managers, and creating specific digital culture.

Digital technologies have a great impact on people, companies, economy, and society and may lead to both positive and negative effects. Digitalization can help optimize business processes and increase their transparency, cause more efficient assets utilization, lower costs, better consumers understanding, and new income sources.

At the same time, processes of the digital transformation are quite complex and pose the following risks: danger of not coping with the huge amount of information accumulated, inability to integrate digital technologies in business, difficulty to connect digital channels, impossibility to find competent employees, exposure to cyber-attacks, and simply insufficient readiness to organizational changes.
