    Dear HCM Division Members,

Projects to develop international and American national standards in healthcare management and administration are currently underway.  I am seeking volunteer experts who are interested in developing these technical documents to improve the performance of healthcare entities and the outcomes of their patients.  The scope of both the domestic and global initiatives are:

Standardization in the field of healthcare organization management including: classification, terminology, nomenclature, management practices and metrics that comprise the non-clinical operations in healthcare entities.

These standards development committee meetings are conducted virtually for the foreseeable future.  Subjects underway include: pandemic response and management, patient centered staffing, and healthcare quality management.  We also welcome ideas for additional standards projects that fall within the scope above.

For more information about the ISO Committee:  ISO - ISO/TC 304 - Healthcare organization management
For more information about the American National Committee: Home (hsi.health)

If you are interested in either or both committees, please contact me at your convenience using the contact information below.  I have attached the business plan for the ISO committee for your references.

    Cheers,

    Lee
