Industry Studies Association's Webinar Series Presents:

"Identifying and Supporting Industries of the Future"

    Dear Colleagues:

I'm excited to invite you to the next webinar in ISA's fall industrial policy series. It will explore current efforts to identify and provide U.S. federal government support to "industries of the future." These efforts are the latest episode in a long history, often motivated by U.S. perceptions of similar efforts made by other nations. Japan was the focus of this attention in the 1980s; today, it's China. Our session on October 21 at noon Eastern time will place the current debate in context, describe the Trump administration's proposal, and provide perspectives on it from the executive and legislative branches.
