Join us at the University of Bristol (UK) on 3 March 2020 for a day of thought provoking and inspirational talks about the future of healthcare in a digitalised world.

Digital health platforms are transforming the way we deliver and consume healthcare. More and more people are using wearables and other health tracking devices to manage their wellbeing. Mobile health platforms can potentially lead to a creative disruption of the health service. Data sharing platforms and online communities are collaborative spaces for patient-led knowledge creation and innovation in medical research and the design of personalised healthcare interventions. In spite of the personalised care opportunities offered by digital technologies, the digital health platforms landscape is still rather fragmented, personal health data and electronic health records are often not integrated in clinical practice and the delivery of integrated pathways of care. Furthermore, digital health innovators need to grapple with institutional and cultural barriers to the adoption of their technologies in the health service.

Who is this event suitable for?

We invite participants from academia, industry, not-for-profit and public sector organisations, health service users and innovators to join us for a one-day workshop on Digital Health Platforms and the Future of Healthcare at the University of Bristol on Tuesday 3rd March 2020. The interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder focus of the workshop will offer you the opportunity to learn about latest developments, opportunities, and challenges in the digital transformation of healthcare, in a series of thought provoking and inspirational talks by academic researchers and innovators. You will be invited to actively engage in discussions on how digital health research and innovation can be made more interdisciplinary, inclusive and relevant for practice.
