Dear Colleagues,
I would like to share a new free online resource my team has developed called the "DHL Global Connectedness Tracker" (available at https://dhl.com/globalconnectedness). This resource provides a brief update on world-level globalization indicators and a set of interactive charts for examining globalization indicators by type of international activity, by region, by country, and for groups of countries based on geopolitical alignment and income level.
The following aspects may be especially pertinent for international business scholars and educators:
* Material on FDI flows and stocks, announced greenfield FDI, announced M&A transactions, payments for use of intellectual property, merchandise trade, and services trade
* Measures such as average distance (km), intra-regional share, geopolitical distance based on UN voting patterns, and concentration (HHI and share beyond top 5 partners)
* Data on countries' shares of flows with key partner (origin/destination) countries
* Download options for a short report, chart images, and chart data.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or suggestions.
Best regards,
Steve
