    Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of my colleagues in the TARGETED-MPI project, I am emailing you today with regards to the Academy of Management Annual Meeting to be held on August 5-9, 2022 in Seattle (hopefully!).

We are currently preparing a proposal for a Presenter Symposium entitled "Equality, Diversity and inclusion in Academia across the Globe: Current status and ways forward"

This symposium aims to shed light on the current status of Equality, Diversity, and in inclusion (EDI) in academia, by presenting and discussing the various initiatives undertaken by the presenters to improve EDI in academia across the globe. Priority will be given to submissions that adopt a participatory action research and that investigate EDI in academia across multiple countries, and at multiple-levels: macro, meso and individual. We welcome submissions that provide a good mapping of the multi-level factors affection EDI in academia, as well as those that advance concrete actions and recommendations. We look forward to your contribution to our symposium.

With that in mind, we would like to invite you to submit a paper to this symposium. If you are interested in presenting a paper that fits within the symposium's theme, please let us know by sending an initial short abstract to fa16@aub.edu.lb by December 9th, 2021.

Important deadlines to keep in mind:

    • December 9th: Initial short Abstract
    • December 13th: Decision on Abstract.
    • December 23rd: Detailed Abstract (Two- to five-page synopsis of your paper as per AOM style)
    • January 4th: Revised Detailed Abstract incorporating reviewer feedback
    • January 11th: Symposium submission by organizers
    • End of March: Notification of Acceptance of the Symposium by AOM
    • July 10th:  Paper to be emailed to fa16@aub.edu.lb to allow time for the Symposium Discussant to read before the conference.

We look forward to receiving your initial abstract by December 9th

    Best Regards,
