As the year-end holidays approach, I encourage you to give the gift of knowledge. Submit a proposal for the 2020 AOM Annual Meeting in Vancouver through the Management Consulting Division!

However you see yourself as a scholar-practitioner (scholar, practitioner, both…), share what you have learned over the past year in a paper, symposium or PDW. Mike Beer said "…relevant knowledge is not necessarily actionable, but actionable knowledge is always relevant" (2011, p. 149).

What actionable knowledge could you share? Do you have a great case study, especially one where you partnered with someone to achieve better results for your clients? How about a new theory that grew out of your work? Maybe you validated theories or practices that you have used for years. All of that will help us Broaden Our Sight in the management consulting profession.

See the details at: https://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/call/mc/?terms=MC%20division%20calls%20for%20papers and https://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/call/mc/pdw/?terms=MC%20division%20calls%20for%20papers and share the gift of knowledge this year!

    Happy Holidays!

Thanks for this invitation, my dear Eric
Following the AOM MC-OCIS conference on AI at Harvard University last year, 3 actionable knowledge related to AI appeared to be relevant for China. They came both from OCIS such as hidden work (Mary-Beth Watson-Mannheim), and from MC such as hidden cost (Henry Savall, Amandine Savall and Veronique Zardet) and, of course, participative management as exemplified by OD (Eric Sanders and Daniel Degravel). Thanks for broadening up our sight in AI through management methods
    Emmanuel

Thank you, Emmanuel. Those are all great ideas for submissions. I’m sure that many of our colleagues around the world have similar applications.

What else might you (anyone in MC) have to add for the conference?
