Dear Colleagues,
Do you know any courses on personal development taught in the MBA program or any other management degree program?
I am looking for courses in the broad area of "personal development","managing yourself", "happiness", "how to live". In a nutshell, an academic alternative to the life coaching industry.
I am particularly interested in courses that:
- Target current or future managers.
- Use management and strategy concepts applied to your life.
I would like to collect the name of the course and, ideally, the syllabus.
I list some of the courses I know below:
- Designing your life – Stanford by Bill Burnett & Dave Evans (based on the homonymous book - http://lifedesignlab.stanford.edu/)
- Strategize Your Life with Simple Rules – IESEG by me J Marco Clemente (https://www.linkedin.com/in/drmarcoclemente )
- Designer in Society – Stanford by Bernie Roth (base of the book "The Achievement Habit" http://achievementhabit.com/ )
- The Art of Self-Coaching – Stanford by Ed Batista https://www.edbatista.com/the-art-of-self-coaching-public-course.html
- Interpersonal Dynamics (aka Touchy Feely) – Stanford by Ed Batista https://www.edbatista.com/interpersonal-dynamics.html
- How to measure your life – Harvard by Clayton Christensen (not a full course, but he integrated it in the last session of his strategy course)
- The Science of Well-Being Yale/Coursera by Laurie Santos (https://www.coursera.org/learn/the-science-of-well-being )
- Creativity and Personal Mastery – previously given at Columbia University by Srikumar S. Rao (https://theraoinstitute.com/)
Please write to me (m.clemente@ieseg.fr) if you know any!
Thank you!
