Please join us for our PDW on Collective Leadership Development: How can OD Inform and Include Collective Leadership?
This will take place on Friday August 9, 1-3 pm, Boston Park Plaza, Arlington Room.  All are welcome and no pre-registration is required.

Our motivation: Despite multiple calls for leadership development to extend beyond a focus on individual leadership, much collective leadership development remains focused on coaching and competency development, extending rather than reconsidering person-centric conceptions of leadership. We argue that it is both necessary and timely to align a wider range of theoretical and empirically-based perspectives on collective leadership with practice-based literature.

Our aims for this PDW are to seek feedback on and input into a new, multi-perspective framework of collective leadership development that we have developed, and to explore its implications for leadership theory and practice by involving PDW participants to share their experiences in leadership development work.

Our process: Our PDW will include both an introduction to the framework and both small and large group discussion and extension of interventions relevant to each of these perspectives. We encourage participation by both practitioners and researchers as we work to 1) introduce a wider disciplinary range of theoretical perspectives on collective leadership development; 2) align such perspectives with the leadership development approaches for different forms of collective leadership; 3) illustrate how the multiple perspectives on collective leadership development can be applied to specific work contexts; and 4) discuss and refine the collective leadership development framework with participants to propel the field forward.

We'll look forward to seeing you there!
