As intelligent systems increasingly shape professional and organisational environments, a new interdisciplinary question is emerging: how do AI-mediated systems interact with human cognition, attention and behavioural adaptation in decision contexts?
This question is becoming increasingly relevant across discussions on human–AI collaboration and responsible technological development.
To explore this emerging frontier, I will be organising a Special Session at WSAI 2026 under the theme:
Human-Centred AI Futures: Cognition, Agency and Decision-Making in Intelligent Systems.
The session is conceived as an interdisciplinary exploration, inviting scholars to reflect on how intelligent systems may reshape human cognitive capability and behavioural dynamics in future decision environments.
