  • 1.  Getting started with Big Data

    Dear Colleagues,

    A number of PhD students in my Spring seminar expressed an interest in working with Big Data. I don’t have much experience in this domain, but would like to be able to provide my students with resources and information that would start them on the right path. Would you have any resources or recommendations that you can share?

    Hi, Sasha-

    People interested in this might check out the CARMA short courses offered each summer.  I believe they have already been held for this year, but one could maybe get on the mailing list for next year's sessions.  They have been running one or two different courses on big data, data mining and analysis of big data.  More info here:  https://business.unl.edu/outreach/carma/short-courses/
