    Position Description

    The Department of Management in the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University invites applicants for a tenure-track Professor of Management to start in August/September 2019. The new faculty member will assume a leadership role as Executive Director of the Center for Leadership Formation (CLF) and oversee the Executive Leadership Program (ELP), Leadership Executive MBA (LEMBA), and executive education offerings of the center.  The position responsibilities are split between the center and the faculty position.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and vision for the CLF; providing academic leadership for the ELP and LEMBA programs; providing thought leadership in management education.  He or she will also have a track record of success in delivering executive education (preferably degree programs) and will have responsibility for some teaching in the field of management.    This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a distinctive and highly regarded program (the LEMBA is currently ranked #11 by US News and World Report) to have even broader impact.  These programs strongly reflect the university's mission – to educate the whole person, to professional formation, and to empower leaders for a just and humane world.

    Qualifications

    A Ph.D. in Management, Organizational Behavior, or related field, excellent teaching evaluations, a record of impactful scholarship in the leadership or management literature.  Capability in teaching in an online environment is also desired.
