    The Department of Management in the School of Business, University at Albany-State University of New York, in Albany, New York (http://www.albany.edu/business/school-of-business-departments-management.php) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor appointment in Management (HR/OB/Strategy).  The position will commence Fall 2019.


    Upon appointment, applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field, from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. Candidates should present a record of outstanding scholarly research achievement commensurate with experience. Candidates should also provide evidence of high-quality undergraduate teaching and collegial collaboration. Candidates should have experience teaching classes in organizational behavior and will teach the foundations of management course for the department upon appointment.

     

    The School of Business is AACSB accredited in both Business and Accounting, and offers a supportive environment for research with teaching loads and research support competitive with other major research universities.  Housed in a beautiful new building, the Massry Center for Business is central to the UAlbany campus.  Management faculty are research-active with publications in top-tier business and psychology outlets such as the American Psychologist, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Information Systems Research, theJournal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.  The School of Business offers degrees at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, including a globally recognized MBA concentration in Human Resource Information Systems. 

     

    The University at Albany is a Carnegie 1 research university with over 17,000 graduate and undergraduate students and is one of four university research centers in the SUNY system. The University is located in the state capital and is three hours from New York City, Boston, and Montreal. The School of Business is housed in a beautiful new building central to the UAlbany campus. Close by are the Berkshires, the Catskills, Saratoga, and the Adirondack Mountains, areas famed for recreational and cultural opportunities. The capital district area is a center for culture and entertainment and outdoor recreation.
