    Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management – Tenure Track

    Clarkson University, Capital Region Campus, Schenectady, New York

    The Healthcare Management Program at the David D. Reh School of Business, CAHME and AACSB accredited, seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management appointment beginning July 2019, at the Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, New York. The Healthcare Management Program offers MBA and MS degrees in Healthcare Management and Healthcare Data Analytics.

    The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in research and teaching or clear potential for excellence in both. Applicants should have the ability to teach a variety of masters-level graduate courses in the areas of healthcare management, health systems, policy, and leadership. The person appointed will be expected to pursue a scholarly agenda with publications, conference presentations, and professional healthcare associations. Faculty are expected to participate in program, school, and university service activities.

     

    Requirements

    Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in healthcare management or related discipline. ABD candidates near completion will be considered. Quality teaching and scholarship is necessary for tenure and promotion. Ideal candidates will have the capacity and/or willingness to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery formats. Professional managerial or administrative experience in healthcare is also desired.

    The Capital Region Campus of Clarkson University is located in Schenectady, New York, part of the metropolitan area of the Capital of New York State, within driving (or rail) distance from New York City, Boston, Montreal, and New England. It is close to the resort areas of Saratoga Springs, Vermont, the Berkshire Mountains, Adirondack Mountains, and the Lake George Region. Excellent outdoor recreational opportunities can be found throughout the area, in addition to vibrant and diverse arts and culture communities.
