Involvement in the OB Division

There are many ways to get involved in the OB Division, and we are actively looking to broaden the range of people who are involved.

Current Opportunities

We are actively looking for volunteers for the following appointed roles within the OB Division:

  • Chief Technology Officer (formerly the Technology and Media Team Lead) - The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for coordinating all of the electronic communications (e.g., Connect@AOM community site, social media) that help OB Division members stay connected. The CTO is also responsible for coordinating the work of web content subcommittees.  This is not a technical position, but prior experience with web design and social media is helpful.
  • Communications Officer - The Communications Officer manages all of the communication needs for the OB Division, including email communications to new members and newsletters to the entire OB Division membership.
  • Twitter Administrator - The administrator for the OB Division Twitter account is responsible for maintaining an active presence on the social media site, working with other social media administrators to keep OB Division members abreast of research and practitioner developments and events within the field of OB.

Committees

One way to get involved is to join a committee. You can read more about the division committee structure. Many positions are elected, but there are still many ways to to get involved outside of an elected position. If you see a committee that looks interesting to you, feel free to contact the Committee Chair to see if there is a way that you can get involved:
