    Assistant Professor Position in Human Resource Management/Analytics/Leadership

    The Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (MIE) in North Carolina State University's Poole College of Management invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Human Resource Management, with some interest in Data Analytics and/or Leadership.  We seek an individual with a developing scholarly research record with evidence they can work independently in the field of Human Resource Management and Analytics or Leadership. Candidates should have a doctorate, evidence of a growing record of publications in top management journals, and experience teaching.

    We are an engaged and highly collegial group of scholars, working in one of the world's best locations for scholars interested in the Human Resource Management. Our tenured/tenure-track faculty currently includes Professors Brad Kirkman (Department Head), Steve Barr, Jon Carr, Robert Clark, Steve Markham, Roger Mayer and Beverly Tyler; Associate Professors Paul Mulvey, Greg Young and Jeff Pollack; and Assistant Professors Nachiket Bhawe and Elena Kulchina (joining January 1, 2019).  Highly interdisciplinary in nature, the MIE department has faculty with research programs in human resources, organization behavior, strategy, innovation and technology management, and entrepreneurship. The faculty are assisted by HR Advisory Board consisting of senior Human Resource Executives from diverse industries and organizations with a major presence in North Carolina.

    The MIE department and other departments in the Poole College of Management deliver a highly ranked online MBA program and house several distinguished academic centers, including the Center for Innovation Management Studies (http://cims.ncsu.edu/), the Entrepreneurship Clinic (https://entrepreneurshipclinic.ncsu.edu), the Consumer Innovation Collaborative (https://poole.ncsu.edu/cic/), the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (https://scm.ncsu.edu), the Business Sustainability Collaborative (https://bsc.poole.ncsu.edu), and the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative (http://erm.ncsu.edu/).  We also have several international partnerships with universities around the globe.
