    Dear Colleagues:

Have you been able to bring your children with you when attending conferences? Is the tenure journey different for primary caregivers in academia? Does it take longer? Is it achievable? Is maternity/paternity/family leave adequately offered at your institution? What impact can we make to improve the academic environment to enable work life integration for primary care givers in academia? Discuss and share your ideas at the PDW, "Can We 'Have It All?': How Primary Child Caregivers Manage Their Academic Journeys". Three successful scholars who have built their careers as academic women who were primary care givers of one to six children throughout their careers will share their stories including strategies enabling their ability to integrate their family responsibilities with their academic career. Participants will then be involved in workshop activities giving voice to needs, wants, and opportunities.
