Junior Faculty: Don't miss out on this networking and support opportunity at AOM!

The CM and OB Divisions' PDW, Being Sucessful Despite Demands, Distractions, and Difficult Situations, still has a few spots left.

Being a junior academic is challenging under the best of circumstances, and learning how to do work that excites you while meeting your school's expectations for productivity is a key aspect of success. But most of us encounter extra challenges, too, such as heavy teaching loads; health issues or parental leaves; dual careers; service demands. How do you manage particular challenges in a way that lets you excel in your academic career? The dual purposes of this session are for more advanced scholars to share experiences and strategies for such issues, and then for small groups to work together on generating research ideas and projects that can be pursued collaboratively after Academy. By considering research in light of shared substantive interests and creating support around how to strategically manage research, we hope to offer junior scholars a strong path forward to productivity.

To facilitate close engagement, space for this consortium is limited and participation is by application. Those holding postdoc and Assistant Professor positions (or their equivalent) are cordially invited to apply. Please register your interest online at https://secure.aom.org/PDWReg and complete the brief survey at https://wharton.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4UVRly9k6SMVGgB to obtain the approval code. The deadline to register online is July 31, 2018.
