The Department of Social Sciences and Business, Roskilde University, invites applications for a position as PhD fellow of Business Studies (specifically Business Model Innovation) from 1st of October 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position as PhD is limited to a period of 3 years.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: JUNE 3RD 2022

    The PhD project
In large established multinational companies, business model innovation can be a particular challenge, yet critical to long-term survival and business success. We are looking for a recently graduated master student to join the research project: "Framing Business Model Changes in the Multinational Incumbent". With this exciting project we are aiming to explore how business model innovations travel between corporate headquarters and local operating companies, with a special focus on Danish multinationals with Chinese business units. The project will use framing and related cognitive theories, answering the question what role does cognitive framing serve in the international travel of business models?

The project is co-financed by the Sino-Danish Centre (SDC) and is a double degree PhD program from Roskilde University and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a PhD fellow, you will have supervisors at both universities. As such, this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to embark on an academic career.

The project will be supervised by Prof. Kristian J. Sund (RUC), with co-supervisors Assoc. Prof. Johannes K. Dreyer (RUC) and Prof. Jiang Yu (UCAS). The PhD student will be employed full-time for 3 years at Roskilde University, just outside Copenhagen, with a generous salary and travel funding. The student will be required to spend 12 months on the UCAS campus outside Beijing, China. Chinese lessons will be provided.
