Are you exploring the governance of blockchain platforms from an organizational perspective?
For the upcoming AOM conference in Copenhagen, Yunjung Pak (University of Alberta) and I are organizing a presenter symposium focused on the socio-cultural embeddedness of blockchain-based organizations. This session will explore how these platforms navigate internal and external challenges, with an emphasis on qualitative or mixed-method approaches.
We invite contributions from scholars whose work addresses socio-cultural embeddedness approaches to blockchain-based organizations, particularly those engaging with themes such as legitimacy and governance of blockchain platforms and societal impacts of blockchain practices. We are especially interested in research that employs reflexive methodologies including ethnography, QCA, or topic modeling.
We are seeking one or two additional papers for presentation. If your research aligns with these topics, please share a 250-word abstract along with the title of your working paper or study by December 28 (EST) to both yunjung@ualberta.ca and glmeg@berkeley.edu. Abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
