The Telfer School of Management (Canada), the Turku School of Economics (Finland), Universit√† degli Studi di Cagliari (Italy) and Universidade Beira Interior (Portugal) are proud to announce the 1st Conference of Research in Entrepreneurship, Education and Technology (#CREET) that will take place on 25-26 May 2023 in Ottawa, the beautiful Canadian capital. This annual global conference aims to promote worldwide scholarly collaborations across regions, continents and academic communities. The first keynote addresses will be made by Alain Fayolle the Past President (2016-2017) Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division and a Professor of entrepreneurship at CREA University of Cagliari, IDRAC Business School and a visiting professor at Turku School of Economics; Benson Honig, Professor and Endowed Chair Teresa Cascioli in Entrepreneurial Leadership, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University; Sarfraz Mian, Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, Department Chair at School of Business, State University of New York (SUNY), Oswego; and Donald Siegel, a Foundation Professor of Public Policy and Management in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and Co-Executive Director of the Global Center for Technology Transfer (GCTT) at Arizona State University.

The conference promises to provide a vigorous and lively discussion about current research in the fields of technology entrepreneurship and education from a global perspective. 

Please submit an electronic version of your abstract no later than January 31st 2023. The abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee and the authors will receive notice by February 28th 2023.

Abstract Submission Requirements  

  • Abstracts should not exceed three (3) Single-spaced pages, and may not exceed the maximum limit of 1000 words.
  • We use a double-blind review process. To facilitate the blind review process, the author(s) name and information should NOT appear anywhere on the abstract.
  • All abstracts are to be submitted by email to creet@telfer.uottawa.ca

The conference committee also extends an invitation to interested scholars to attend the conference regardless of whether a paper is submitted. The best papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of a high ranked journal. More details on this will be provided soon.
