    Position description

Melbourne Business School (MBS) seeks to fill two open-rank positions in Strategy. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Strategy or a related field and must demonstrate a record of publishing in top academic journals and have achieved excellence in teaching. Applications are open to all areas of Strategy and would be particularly welcome in the areas of innovation & entrepreneurship, sustainability, or international strategy. It is anticipated that teaching for one of the positions will be concentrated in executive education.

The School's Master of Business Analytics program was ranked 15th globally and is top ranked in the Asia/Pacific region in the QS Business Masters Rankings: Business Analytics in 2021.

The position is in the Strategy cluster, which currently has four full time academic faculty: Glenn Hoetker, Brandon Lee, Kwanghui Lim and Geoff Martin. Members of the cluster have active research interests in corporate finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, networks and alliances, strategic decision making and sustainability. More information about the current research areas of the school can be found on the faculty and research page at https://mbs.edu/faculty-and-research.

The position is located at the school's main building, which is part of the University of Melbourne's Carlton campus in inner Melbourne. Flexible working arrangements are available to all staff. The occupant will have an employment contract with Melbourne Business School Limited, and an internationally competitive package will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Employee benefits include a subsidised School gym; health and wellbeing programs; year-round social events; NFP salary packaging; and access to world class learning and development programs.

Applications should be e-mailed to Julie Burns, Faculty Support Officer at J.Burns@mbs.edu and include the following items: full CV, a list of publications, a summary of recent teaching, including teaching evaluations, and contact information for three referees. Closing date for applications is January 15, 2021.
