    KU Leuven's department of Management, Strategy and Innovation invites applications for a PhD position in entrepreneurship and innovation.

    Job description

    The successful candidate will:

    • Conduct independent research on entrepreneurship under the supervision of MSI's faculty members (topic(s) will be determined in close collaboration with your supervisors)
    • Join our renowned doctoral program and get additional methodological and content-related training
    • Write scientific articles with the aim of inclusion in your dissertation and publication in leading journals
    • Participate in international conferences and seminars
    • Guide Master students and be involved in teaching activities (but focus is on research)
    • Complete a PhD degree in Business Economics that prepares you for a career in academia, in management or in a policy institution.

    The tentative starting date is September, 2021, depending on the availability of the candidate.

    Your profile

    Prospective candidates should hold (or be close to finishing) an outstanding Master's degree in economics, business administration or in closely related fields such as statistics, finance, commercial engineering, psychology, information systems, ... We appreciate strong quantitative skills in applied econometrics; experience with data handling and programming/scripting is a plus. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is required. As a candidate, you should be self-directed, motivated to conduct rigorous research, and passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation.
