  • 1.  OER Negotiation Textbook

As one of my former colleagues so elegantly phrased it, I've recently crossed over to the dark side by taking a job as a dean. I have an unfinished project-- an OER textbook for undergraduates, and having just finished my first year, I have accepted the reality that I don't have time to complete the project on my own.

I'm looking for multiple collaborators. If you are at a school that values OER textbooks as scholarship, this could be a good opportunity for you to be a co-author.  I've got working drafts of several chapters, as well as some negotiation simulations designed for and created by undergraduate students. The textbook needs more work, and we also need to create an instruction manual.

If you are interested in having an OER Negotiation textbook available but don't have the time to contribute, you can also help by agreeing to review the materials and provide feedback on early drafts and/or a testimonial for the final product (necessary to demonstrate that the materials have been peer-reviewed).

Before reaching out to me, you are welcome to read an article I published about teaching negotiation; it will give you a good sense of what my textbook is like: https://doi.org/10.1111/nejo.12185

I'm happy to have virtual meetings if you have any questions or would like to discuss being a collaborator. My email address is dkidder@columbusstate.edu.

     Thanks,

    Deb Kidder
