If you are attending the EGOS Colloquium this year, don't miss out on applying for the PDW «Curating open Academic Fora» to reimagine conferencing towards better representation and inclusion for innovative, impactful knowledge creation (application deadline April 30, 2024):

EGOS - Pre-Colloquium Development Workshops (PDWs) 2024 - European Group for Organizational Studies

❗Today's academic conferences rarely reflect the heterogeneity of worldwide management and organization studies scholars. Statistics show that mainly European and North American scholars attend prominent conferences of our discipline. Selected venues, visa restrictions, high conference fees, and other institutional hurdles are reasons for such an unequal representation. Considering that conferences are spaces to create and disseminate new ideas, this circumstance is not only unfair but detrimental to generating innovative and impactful knowledge.

💡 Together with Emamdeen Fohim and Markus A. Höllerer, we organized two Caucus workshops at AFAM and INDAM earlier this year. With the EGOS PDW, we want to continue the discussion and have invited a panel of scholars from across the globe. After initial group discussions, Pablo Fernandez, Daniel Geiger, Sherwat Elwan Ibrahim, Farah Kodeih, Dorothy Mpabanga, Juliana Rodrigues, and Prof. Sabyasachi Sinha will share their perspectives on which institutional arrangements need to be changed to realize this vision.

💬 You can participate on-site or virtual. Please send your application containing your contact details and a statement of motivation (500 - 1000 words) by April 30, 2024.

We look forward to meeting you and discussing this topic in Milan!
