    The Department of Management in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of August 2024. The new hire will conduct research and teach in the area of OB and/or HR. We seek colleagues who can contribute to the College's research mission and degree programs at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels, and other areas as appropriate. We seek individuals who are interested in being active members of a rich and collegial academic community. Salary, benefits, and research support are very competitive and consistent with other Big Ten universities.

    About the Department

    The Department of Management (https://business.unl.edu/academic-programs/departments/management/) includes 25 faculty members and provides a collegial environment for research and teaching. Our faculty members regularly publish in top-tier management journals and are awarded for their research and teaching accomplishments. We enjoy sharing our research in progress within the department to solicit ideas and feedback and regularly invite visiting faculty to do the same. The Center for Entrepreneurship, International Business program, and the Clifton Strengths Institute are affiliated with the Department of Management and administered by Management faculty.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in OB, and/or HR or a related field. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered; the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.  Further, applicants must demonstrate a history of targeting top tier management-related journals. Candidates for this position must also have teaching experience and an interest in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Candidates should indicate a commitment to collegiality.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preference will be given to candidates with two or more years of experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level post Ph.D. degree completion. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to publish in top tier management journals (for example, AMR, AMJ, ASQ, JAP, JoM, PPsych, Org Sci, SMJ) are also preferred.
